Tense Triangle: USA, Israel, Iran

http://security.blogs.cnn.com/2012/01/16/tense-triangle-iran-israel-and-us/?hpt=wo_c2

Tensions continue to build as Iran moves further to creating a nuclear missile program. Iran has also threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz which over 1/5 of the world’s oil passes through. The American government has been trying to establish a line of communication with Iran about the consequences of closing the straight. Another developing situation is the Israeli statements against Iran if they international sanctions don’t stop Iran from building the nuclear bombs. The United States is working with Israel with defensive maneuvers to avoid causing a world tragedy. The most important thing that needs to be done is establishing a direct line of communication with Iran to avoid misconceptions and miscalculations.

I agree that this is the place where the United States needs to step in. We’re one of the most powerful military powers that cause help avoid global devastation. As Israel is right to protect itself against opposition, becoming trigger happy could lead to regrettable consequences. If Iran does continue with their nuclear bomb program and threatens to use it, I would hope that all countries that care about the safety of mankind would send people to overpower the Iranian program. As I oppose being in a war for so long, I understand the importance of protection and taking actions as needed. Hopefully this will end peacefully, but more than likely it will require further military actions.

Hopefully in the further generations peace will become unanimous. Although unlikely, justice should prevail. Motives for different groups such as the Al Qaeda and the LRA may be known, but could soon be lost. New groups could rise, and others could die out but maybe something will change. If a country could just be okay with what other countries do, maybe fighting could stop. Nuclear energy would only be used as a energy source and not a weapon. Maybe one day, people will learn to take another perspective and say its right. Highly unlikely, it’s worth hoping for.
